Newcastle United make Jesse Lingard transfer decision
Newcastle United have no plans of pursuing Manchester United forward Jesse Lingard next month.
Lingard is about to enter the final six months of his contract, and there has been speculation that he could be sold.
The Magpies have been heavily linked with him after their Saudi-led takeover, but The Athletic claims they are not keen.
The Tyneside outfit are not exploring a mid-season deal for Lingard while the attacker is also content to stay at United.
The England international is prepared to fight for his spot under Ralf Rangnick and is willing to run down his contract.
Aside from the Magpies, West Ham have also been tipped to sign him after his superb loan spell with them earlier this year.
Lingard amassed nine goals and five assists from 16 appearances. The London club may need to wait until next summer.
United are not keen on negotiating with them, considering they are now genuine challengers for the Champions League positions.
