Man Utd exploring deal for Aston Villa midfielder
Manchester United are reportedly considering a summer move for Aston Villa midfielder John McGinn.
The Red Devils have experienced a mixed run of fortunes this season, and they are currently seventh in the Premier League.
A top four spot appears far from assured judging by recent performances, but the club seem unlikely to spend this month.
Instead, the onus will be on a summer rebuild. The Telegraph claims that McGinn is one of their top midfield targets.
The Scotland international has been a revelation for the Villans since his move from Hibernian in the summer of 2018.
He has established himself as a key player in the centre of the park with his quality goalscoring and defensive contributions.
The 27-year-old is regarded as an ideal all-round midfielder, and the Red Devils will look to prise him away in the summer.
With his contract expiring in June 2024, it is claimed that a fee of around £40 million could be sufficient to land his services.
