Aaron Ramsey set for shock Arsenal return?
Former Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey could be set for a shock return to the Emirates, after the Juventus manager confirmed that the Welshman had played his last game for the club. Ramsey will be allowed to depart for around 15 million euros.
"Aaron's not with the team as he’s set to leave the club," Massimiliano Allegri told reporters during a pre-match conference for the Turin-based side.
Ramsey joined Juventus on a free transfer in 2019 from the Gunners, after his contract expired and Arsenal opted not to renew the deal.
Crystal Palace and Newcastle are also both rumoured to have shown interest in the Wales international, but a report from the Daily Mail today suggested Palace had withdrawn their interest as they turn their attentions to other tragets. 31-year-old Ramsey currently has 18 months remaining on his deal with the Old Lady, and thus will command a hefty transfer fee.
Juventus have been busy revamping their squad after a disappointing season in Serie A so far, and Ramsey appears to be the top name amongst those set for the cull.
