Arsenal are reportedly interested in signing New England Revolution goalkeeper Matt Turner as a replacement for Bernd Leno.

Leno is currently the second-choice goalkeeper behind Aaron Ramsdale, and he is desperate to leave the Gunners this month.

He has already revealed his desire to the north London giants, and ESPN claims that the club could be braced for his potential exit.

Newcastle United are planning an approach for the German while there is reportedly widespread interest from La Liga and Serie A clubs.

Amidst this, it is reported that the Gunners are in negotiations to sign Turner, who has earned 13 caps for the United States to date.

Talks are at an advanced stage between both clubs, and a deal could be finalised, once the necessary add-ons and clauses are agreed.

His arrival could pave the way for Leno's departure. The Gunners are looking for around £20m for the former Bayer Leverkusen star.

Leno has not played in the Premier League since August. He may have played his final game for the Gunners with an exit appearing imminent.
