Arsenal and Liverpool interested in Real Madrid star
Arsenal and Liverpool are reportedly keen on luring Real Madrid attacker Marco Asensio amid the uncertainty over his future.
Asensio has bagged nine goals and one assist for Los Blancos this term, but the club's hierarchy are yet to extend his contract expiring in June 2023.
They are presently reluctant to hand him a significant pay rise for a new deal.
On the contrary, the Gunners and Reds are willing to offer 50 per cent more than what Los Blancos have proposed on the table, as per OK Diario.
This could pave the way for his exit this summer. Asensio could drop the pecking order next season with Madrid planning a summer spending spree.
They are keen on landing both Kylian Mbappe and Erling Braut Haaland, which could see Asensio featuring on the bench with regularity.
The Spaniard may not entertain the prospect with the World Cup later this year. Hence, a Premier League move could be a genuine possibility.
