Barcelona ready to offer escape route to Man Utd defender

Barcelona are ready to offer an escape route to Manchester United defender Eric Bailly this summer, Sport claims.

The Ivorian signed a new contract with the Red Devils in April last year, but he has since hardly played for the club.

Bailly was the third-choice centre-back last season, but he has been demoted further with the arrival of Raphael Varane.

Varane, Harry Maguire and Victor Lindelof are now ahead of him in the pecking order. The club are eyeing another signing.

Hence, Bailly could push for an exit at the end of the campaign, and reports claim that Barcelona are favourites to land him.

The Catalan giants recently bolstered their squad with three Premier League attackers in the form of Torres, Traore and Aubameyang.

All three have made an instant impact on the proceedings. They now seem to be eyeing an experienced Premier League centre-back.

Bailly has had injury concerns throughout his United career, but he continues to attract interest. Roma have also been linked with him.
