Manchester United handed injury boost for Tottenham clash
Manchester United have been handed a big injury boost ahead of their Premier League meeting against Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday.
The Red Devils recently suffered a 4-1 defeat to Manchester City. They were without Raphael Varane, Luke Shaw, Cristiano Ronaldo and Edinson Cavani for the derby.
Varane and Shaw were sidelined with coronavirus, but the former has now returned to full training. The Frenchman is widely expected to return to the starting line-up.
Meanwhile, the game may come too soon for Ronaldo, who is struggling with a hip flexor problem, but Cavani could make his first appearance since the winter break.
The Uruguayan was not deemed fit to make the Manchester derby last weekend. He has been struggling with a nagging groin problem, but could be fit for Saturday.
United face a must-win situation this weekend, considering they are already one point behind fourth-placed Arsenal, who have three games in hand.
It is their final league game before the international break, given the Liverpool clash has been postponed due to the latter's FA Cup commitments.
