De Gea to be replaced?

Manchester United are looking at the prospect of replacing goalkeeper David de Gea this summer, The Mirror reports.

The Spain international has been in superb form for the Red Devils this campaign, making several stand-out saves.

Despite this, there has been criticism from some fans with his inability to distribute from the back with good effect.

De Gea has also been reluctant to come off his line. He has managed just six high claims in the current league campaign.

It is now reported that United are looking into a deal for Sevilla's Yassine Bounou, who currently has a £25m release clause.

However, the buy-out clause could increase to £63m. Sevilla are keen to extend his contract until 2026 in the coming weeks.

Bounou is comfortable with the ball at his feet unlike De Gea. He has also been willing to command the box with regular high claims.

The Moroccan only became a regular for Sevilla a couple of years ago after starring in their Europa League winning campaign.
