Man Utd handed boost in landing Erik ten Hag?
Manchester United have been handed a boost in appointing Erik ten Hag as their new manager this summer.
The Dutchman has been with Ajax since 2017, but has been touted to pursue a bigger challenge next season.
Ten Hag has been tightlipped over his future, but M.E.N claims that he is open to negotiating with the Red Devils.
The 52-year-old is expected to see out the season with Ajax before asking permission to speak with clubs.
It remains to be seen whether United consider him as the prime target. They currently have multiple names on their wishlist.
Aside from Ten Hag, they are interested in PSG's Mauricio Pochettino, Sevilla's Julen Lopetegui and Spain's Luis Enrique.
Among the quartet, Enrique appears certain to decline any approach as he is focused on managing La Roja at the World Cup.
Meanwhile, there has been speculation that United could sack Ralf Rangnick amid their inconsistent run of performances lately.
Rangnick is currently on an interim role with the Red Devils, and has agreed to become an advisor for the next two seasons.
