Arsenal favourites to sign £67m striker
Arsenal are deemed favourites to sign Benfica striker Darwin Nunez during the summer transfer window.
The Uruguayan has been in excellent form for the Portuguese outlet this term, bagging 26 goals from 33 games.
His form has caught the eye of several clubs, but Record claims that the Gunners are leading the hunt.
West Ham United tried to sign the 22-year-old in January, but their £45m offer was deemed insufficient.
The Hammers are still in the pursuit alongside Newcastle, but the Gunners are considered front-runners.
The north London club are in a good position to qualify for the Champions League after a five-year exile.
This should put them ahead of the Premier League duo, though Benfica are unlikely to sell him on the cheap.
The Portuguese outfit value their striker greatly, and may not sell him for anything less than £67 million.
Nunez has also been linked with Barcelona and Real Madrid, though they don't regard him as a priority.
