Man Utd plan to discuss terms with defender
Manchester United are keen to negotiate a new contract with defender Luke Shaw, according to Fabrizio Romano.
The Red Devils have endured a tough campaign in the Premier League with a number of stars underperforming.
Shaw's form has been pretty average over the course of the season, but the hierarchy still believe in his abilities.
According to Romano, the Red Devils plan to open negotiations over a new deal for Shaw in the coming weeks.
Shaw's current deal expires in the summer of 2023, but the club have the option of extending his stay for 12 months.
He is presently on wages of £150,000-a-week. It has been reported that he would want a pay rise for the renewal.
Aside from Shaw, the club are keen to hand a new deal to Marcus Rashford amid the speculation over his future.
There has been talk that he is unsettled at the club, and could push for an exit during this summer's transfer window.
