Man Utd hold talks with Argentine manager

Mauricio Pochettino news

Man Utd back in for Pochettino

Manchester United have held talks with Mauricio Pochettino over the head coach position, The Telegraph claims.

The Red Devils are currently on the pursuit of a permanent manager, and have identified their main candidates.

Earlier last week, they had an interview with Ajax's Erik ten Hag, and it now appears they have spoken with Pochettino.

The Argentine tactician has been a long-term target for the Red Devils, and he was linked with the job in late November.

Paris Saint-Germain weren't willing to negotiate his release, but the situation could change at the end of the current season.

Pochettino and Ten Hag are now the main contenders for the vacancy with Luis Enrique and Julen Lopetegui pulling out.

Enrique has repeatedly stated that he won't be leaving his role with Spain ahead of the World Cup finals in Qatar this winter.

Meanwhile, Lopetegui has also assured that his future remains with Sevilla, and he has no doubts over his current position.
