Jose Mourinho keen on landing Manchester United defender
Roma manager Jose Mourinho has his sights on landing Manchester United defender Diogo Dalot during the summer transfer window.
Dalot has been in-and-out of the starting line-up this campaign, and there are doubts over his long-term future with the Red Devils.
He still has two more years remaining on his deal (12 month option considered), but may push for an exit during the summer.
The Red Devils are eyeing a new right-back, and this could urge Dalot to pursue a new challenge where he is assured a starting berth.
Mourinho was partly responsible for bringing Dalot to United in 2018. The Portuguese now appears keen on a reunion with his compatriot.
Dalot was valued at around £27 million last summer, but a deal did not materialise as the Red Devils could not land a suitable replacement.
This time around, the board are focused on completing their transfer business early. This could pave the way for Dalot to move elsewhere.
