Man Utd leading Arsenal in race for Napoli star
Manchester United are reportedly leading Arsenal in the pursuit of Napoli striker Victor Osimhen this summer.
The Red Devils are expected to bolster their centre-forward department, and have identified Osimhen as a prime target.
The Gunners have also been linked with the Nigerian, but Corriere dello Sport claims that United have an edge over them.
The club's hierarchy have already held negotiations with the player's entourage ahead of a big-money move during the summer.
Napoli bought Osimhen for around €70 million two years ago. They are looking for at least €100m to sanction his departure.
United have the resources to meet the price tag unlike the Gunners, who may be reluctant to pay a big fee up front for Osimhen.
Osimhen has had a good second season at Napoli, bagging 16 goals and five assists from 28 appearances in all competitions.
He has a long-term ambition of playing in the Premier League, but it remains to be seen whether he will join the Red Devils.
United are facing the prospect of missing out on the Champions League which could hamper their chances of landing him.
