Arsenal fancied to sign another Bologna star?

Arsenal are lining up a summer move for Bologna full-back Aaron Hickey, according to football.london.

They are now keen on pursuing his former teammate, who is capable of playing in both full-back positions.

The Scotland international has had a promising season in Serie A, bagging five goals and one assist from 34 games.

He has been compared to Arsenal's Kieran Tierney due to his Scottish roots, and could now come in as his deputy.

Tierney has failed to stay unscathed over an entire season. The Gunners are eyeing a better option to provide cover.

Nuno Tavares was signed last summer for the role, but the Portuguese has been defensively error-prone this year.

With the prospect of Champions League football, the Gunners can ill-afford similar mistakes in the next campaign.

Hickey could be prised away from Bologna for around €20 million.
