Man Utd handed boost in signing €80m midfielder
Manchester United have been handed a big boost in signing long-term target Sergej Milinkovic-Savic from Lazio.
The Serbian has had another fine season for the Serie A outfit with 11 goals and 12 assists from 46 appearances.
He is now prepared to pursue a bigger challenge, and it could be away from the Italian top-flight, as per Tuttosport.
Lazio president Claudio Lolito has no plans of doing business with Juventus and will listen to foreign offers.
United have been long-term admirers of the box-to-box midfielder, and he could be seen as Paul Pogba's replacement.
Pogba has snubbed a new deal beyond June 30. He has been widely fancied to make his return to Juventus this summer.
Milinkovic-Savic could be seen as an upgrade on the World Cup winner as he is better defensively and offensively.
However, he won't come on the cheap for United. Lazio are expected to hold out for at least €80m to sanction his exit.
Paris Saint-Germain could be United's main rivals for the player.
