Arsenal on the verge of landing Serie A star?
Arsenal are on the verge of landing Bologna left-back Aaron Hickey, according to Calciomercato.
The Gunners have been in regular talks with the Serie A outfit in recent weeks, and it is now claimed that a deal has been finalised.
The north London giants have agreed to pay €23 million for the Scotland international ahead of the next transfer window.
The Gunners currently have Kieran Tierney and Nuno Tavares as the left-back options, but the former has suffered multiple injuries.
Meanwhile, Tavares has failed to impress as his deputy with several defensive errors and should be replaced by Hickey next term.
Aside from a left-back, the Gunners are also actively on the hunt for a new right-back amid the inconsistent displays of Cedric Soares.
Similar to Tierney, Takehiro Tomiyasu has suffered multiple injuries, and the Gunners need a quality back-up option ahead of next season.
It has recently been reported that they could attempt to sign Udinese's Nahuel Molina. He is currently valued at around €30 million.
