Arsenal favourites to land Jesus

Arsenal are reportedly leading the hunt to sign Manchester City star Gabriel Jesus during the summer transfer window.

The Brazilian has been in fine form for the Cityzens this campaign, registering 13 goals and 12 assists across all competitions.

Despite his impressive statistics, he is expected to move on from the club amid their recent agreement to sign Erling Haaland.

The Gunners have already held talks with the player's representatives, and Calciomercato claims that they are leading the queue.

However, a deal may not be straightforward. The north London side could miss out on signing him without Champions League football.

Elsewhere, AC Milan and Juventus could benefit from the Italian Growth Decree and offer him better wages to join them this summer.

Hence, the Gunners are not assured of landing him at the moment, and only time will tell whether they can finalise a suitable agreement.

Jesus will enter the final year of his contract this summer. The Cityzens are likely to demand around £40m to part ways with him.
