Arsenal interested in signing former Manchester United man
Arsenal have expressed an interest in signing Barcelona attacker Memphis Depay during the upcoming transfer window.
The Netherlands international has had an injury-plagued debut season at Barcelona, but has still impressed with 13 goals in all competitions.
Ahead of the summer, the La Liga outfit are assessing their tight financial situation, and ABC claims that Depay could be shown the exit door.
The Dutchman had a poor Premier League stint at Manchester United, but he has since been linked with a return to England on numerous occasions.
The Gunners are known to be among his admirers, and it is now reported that they have made an enquiry to the Blaugrana for his services.
Depay will enter the final 12 months of his contract this summer, and he could be prised away for a fee of around £25 million.
The Gunners can certainly afford the price tag, and could see the 28-year-old as a quality reinforcement for the centre-forward role.
Arsenal are facing the prospect of losing both Alexandre Lacazette and Eddie Nketiah when their contracts expire on June 30.
