Ten Hag looking forward to Van de Beek reunion

Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag has said that he is looking forward to his reunion with Donny van de Beek.

The Netherlands international was a key player under the Dutchman at Ajax, but has struggled since his move to Old Trafford.

He arrived at the club with a big reputation two seasons ago, but has yet to established himself as a regular league starter.

Van de Beek was loaned out to Everton in January, but he looks set to revive his United career with the arrival of Ten Hag.

Speaking in his maiden press conference as United manager, Ten Hag spoke about his very good relationship with the player.

He added that he is looking forward to meeting him again on the pitch.

He said: "I had a really good relationship with him, I’m looking forward to meeting him again on the pitch."

Van de Beek has barely started games in the United shirt, but could turnaround his career under Ten Hag's guidance.

He was perfectly suited to the manager's philosophy in Amsterdam, and should seamlessly adapt to the style of play.
