Chelsea in pole position to land Serie A wing-back?

Chelsea are reportedly in pole position to sign Inter Milan star Ivan Perisic this summer.

The Croatian has transformed his career with the Nerazurri over the past two seasons. He has made the left wing-back position his own.

The Serie A outfit have now offered him a new deal beyond June, but reports claim that the 33-year-old is considering a fresh challenge in England.

The Blues are reportedly favourites to land his services, and Gazzetta dello Sport claims that they are prepared to offer a better salary package.

Inter have offered around €6m per year with bonuses, but the Blues could go upto €10m to lure the former World Cup finalist to Stamford Bridge.

Perisic is being seen as a potential replacement for Marcos Alonso, who is keen on leaving the Blues for a move to Barcelona this summer.

The former Borussia Dortmund man had a superb 2021/22 season at Inter, registering 10 goals and nine assists from 49 appearances.
