Erik ten Hag wants Chelsea star at Man Utd

Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag is reportedly keen on luring Chelsea playmaker Mason Mount to Old Trafford.

The England international had a top campaign with the Blues last term, registering 13 goals and 16 assists from 53 appearances.

His efforts won him the Player of the Year award for the second season running, but there are still doubts over his long-term future.

He currently has two years remaining on his £88,000-a-week deal, and talks are yet to begin over a new contract on improved wages.

His situation has already caught the eye of Manchester City and Liverpool, and United have now entered the pursuit of his services.

Ten Hag is an admirer of Mount since his loan stint at Vitesse Arnhem, but it would come as a huge shock if the Blues consider his exit.

Mount has been their stand-out performer in recent campaigns, and they will be more inclined to meeting his contract demands.
