Pogba and Lingard to leave on free transfers

Manchester United have confirmed that Paul Pogba and Jesse Lingard will leave on free transfers after the expiry of their contracts on June 30.

Pogba has been a mainstay in the United squad for the past six years, but he is now eyeing a return to the Serie A with former club Juventus.

He will be officially released by United at the end of the month. It appears only a matter of time before the Bianconeri announce his comeback.

Meanwhile, Lingard will also part ways with United permanently. Unlike Pogba, it has not always been smooth sailing for him at the club.

The attacker has been linked with a return to West Ham United, where he had a terrific loan spell during the second half of the 2020/21 season.

The England international amassed nine goals and five assists from 16 games for the Hammers, and a reunion could be on the cards.

If not, he could make the switch to the Italian top-flight with AC Milan, Inter Milan and Juventus among clubs that are interested in him.
