Man Utd defender 'very happy' to continue next season

Diogo Dalot news

Dalot very happy at Man Utd

The agent of Diogo Dalot has said that the defender is very happy with the proceedings at Manchester United.

The Portuguese started last season as the back-up to right-back Aaron Wan-Bissaka, but his fortunes changed towards the end of the year.

Ralf Rangnick was appointed as the interim manager after Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's sacking. Under him, Dalot became a regular starter.

It has been recently claimed that new manager Erik ten Hag could also prefer him as he is better going forward compared to Wan-Bissaka.

Speaking to 101 Great Goals, agent Carlo Goncalves has now acknowledged that Dalot is looking forward to the new season with United.

He said: "He is very happy at Manchester United. The season went well for him personally."

"Obviously, it didn’t go well for Manchester United given the club’s expectations. But we are expecting Diogo to stay for next season, for sure."

While Dalot is widely expected to stay, United have already told Wan-Bissaka's representatives that he is free to leave the club.
