Arsenal made transfer offer for Serie A striker
Arsenal recently made a transfer offer for Sassuolo striker Gianluca Scamacca, Alfredo Pedulla claims.
The Gunners are expected to sign a new centre-forward this summer, and they have already been linked with multiple names.
Manchester City's Gabriel Jesus has been touted as the favourite to join them, but it appears they are looking at other targets.
According to Alfredo Pedulla, the north London giants recently made an opening bid of £34m to sign Sassuolo's Scamacca.
However, the move came to no avail. While Sassuolo were open to doing business, Scamacca turned down the proposed transfer.
The Italy international has no plans of leaving Serie A this summer, and has his sights on joining either AC Milan or Napoli.
He has yet to receive any offers from the duo, but the 23-year-old is content to wait rather than pursuing a move abroad.
Scamacca, who has also been linked with London side West Ham United, netted 16 goals in the Italian top-flight last season.
