Arsenal very keen on landing Real Madrid star?

Arsenal are reportedly determined to sign Real Madrid attacker Marco Asensio this summer.

The Gunners are aiming to bolster their attack ahead of next season, and Asensio has emerged as a top transfer target.

According to Corriere dello Sport, the 26-year-old is currently the subject of interest from the Gunners as well as AC Milan.

Milan have already made contact with Los Blancos over a transfer, but they are unlikely to meet the player's contract demands.

Asensio is eyeing a net salary of around £6m per year, and Milan are unlikely to pay him amid their self imposed low salary cap.

This has apparently handed the advantage to the Gunners, who are willing to meet his wage requirements and the transfer fee.

With just one year left on his Madrid contract, it is reported that the Gunners could prise him away for as little as £30 million.

Asensio would be a quality acquisition for the Gunners with his ability to play anywhere in attack, behind the main striker.
