Newcastle United offered chance to sign Man Utd star
Newcastle United have reportedly been offered the chance to sign Manchester United defender Eric Bailly this summer.
The Magpies are expected to move for at least one centre-back, and they have been heavily linked with Lille's Sven Botman.
However, a deal appears difficult with Botman's preference to join AC Milan, and this may urge them to look elsewhere.
According to The Mirror, Bailly has now emerged as a possible alternative. The defender is open to staying in the Premier League.
The 28-year-old struggled for first-team football last season, and was limited to under 500 minutes of playing time under three managers.
He has decided to move on with United eyeing another centre-back. It has been reported that he could be available for just £10 million.
Newcastle have yet to make any high-profile signings this summer.
James Tarkowski was fancied to join them for free, but he has instead decided to join Everton following the expiry of his Burnley deal.
