Arsenal interested in Ivory Coast midfielder
Arsenal have reportedly been credited with an interest in signing Seko Fofana from RC Lens.
The north London giants are keen on purchasing a new midfielder this summer, and they have been heavily linked with Youri Tielemans.
However, they could also be looking at alternative options, and L'Equipe claims that Fofana is a player that has caught the Gunners' eye.
The 27-year-old is a central midfielder by trade. He registered eight goals and one assist last term while completing 90 per cent of his passes.
He also averaged over two dribbles per game. His creativity is a key attribute that has impressed the Gunners, but he won't come on the cheap.
Lens bought him from Udinese for £8.6m, but they owe them 20 per cent of any future profit. Hence, they are eyeing at least £26m to sell him.
Aside from the valuation, the player's stance could also act as a stumbling block. Fofana reportedly prefers to stay in the French top-flight.
