Manchester United have agreed on the fixed fee for Barcelona midfielder Frenkie de Jong this summer, Fabrizio Romano claims.

The Dutchman has been the Red Devils' prime target for the summer transfer window, and they are now close to reaching an agreement.

A fixed fee of around €65 million has been finalised between the clubs, but they still need to sort out the payment structure for the add-ons.

Barcelona want at least €20m in performance bonuses, and United may need to include add-ons that are easily achievable over coming seasons.

If they succeed in doing so, they will be given permission to negotiate personal terms over a long-term deal with the 25-year-old.

De Jong was initially reluctant to join United due to the lack of Champions League football, but his stance has changed in recent weeks.

He is open to reuniting with his former Ajax manager Erik ten Hag and does not want to stay at Barcelona after knowing their transfer stance.
