Corentin Tolisso to join Lyon
27-year-old midfielder Corentin Tolisso has completed a move to Ligue 1 side Lyon this afternoon, having agreed a contract with his former club. Tolisso left Lyon for pastures new in 2017, joining Bayern Munich and appearing in only 72 games during his spell at the Bundesliga side.
The injury-prone midfielder links up at the club with former teammate Alexandre Lacazette, as the Lyonnais side prepare for a title challenge for the new campaign.
Tolisso had been a star at both international level for France as well as in Ligue 1, but his career floundered due to several injuries over the past four years.
Tolisso has moved to France on a free transfer, and will likely be an important member of the club's squad for next season. The player has completed a successful medical today and will sign on the dotted line for a three year contract.
It is understood that the player has reduced his salary by almost half to make a return to his former club, earning a wage of around 45,000 euros per week.
