Tottenham star turned down Man Utd transfer

Tottenham Hotspur forward Steven Bergwijn has reportedly snubbed interest from Manchester United to join Ajax.
The Dutchman was used sparingly by Spurs in the recent campaign, and he is now set to leave the club permanently.
According to De Telegraaf's Mike Verweij, United and Everton were willing to meet Spurs' €40m valuation for Bergwijn.
However, Spurs eventually negotiated with Ajax due to the player's preference. They are expected to pay around €30m.
Bergwijn was on the radar of manager Erik ten Hag at Ajax. It appears he wanted to bring him to United this summer.
The 24-year-old has now chosen to return to the Eredivisie, where he was previously a big success with PSV Eindhoven.
Bergwijn has been a key player for the Netherlands, and he now has the chance to cement a starting role at the World Cup.
He should be assured regular minutes with the Dutch champions, who have agreed a club-record fee to land his signature.
