Leicester City interested in signing Levi Colwill
Leicester City have expressed an interest in signing Chelsea defender Levi Colwill on a permanent basis this summer.
Colwill had a productive loan stint at Huddersfield Town last term, and it was anticipated that he would break into the Chelsea first-team.
However, that is unlikely to happen with the Blues planning to sign three central defenders during the ongoing transfer window.
Hence, they are prepared to sanction his departure, and The Express claim that the Foxes are weighing up an approach for his services.
The Midlands outfit are hoping to land him in the region of £15-20m while allowing the Blues to include a higher buy-back clause.
Chelsea could be tempted to accept the proposal, having previously agreed a similar clause with Southampton for Tino Livramento.
Livramento started last season brightly, but could be long before he returns to first-team action following his serious knee injury in April.
Colwill has also been linked with London rivals Arsenal, but the Blues are unlikely to hand them the services of their highly-rated graduate.
