Bernd Leno weighing up offers as keeper heads for Arsenal exit
German international goalkeeper Bernd Leno has a host of offers from which to choose his next destination, as the Arsenal keeper heads for the Emirates Stadium exit door. The former Bayer Leverkusen shot stopper had been expected to join London rivals Fulham, but the Cottagers were unwilling to meet Arsenal's valuation of £12 million.
Joannis Koukoutrigas, the agent of Leno, has informed the press that many clubs have been in for Leno.
The agent quipped: “He is a German national goalkeeper, has always performed well at Arsenal and is an absolute team player. For me personally, Bernd is also the clear No.1 at Arsenal. With all due respect to the competitors.
“Fulham is trying hard to get Bernd. Very professionally. This is also true for some other clubs and shows his status. But, as I said, for me he is the No.1 at Arsenal and we are therefore also relaxed.”
Lazio, Werder Bremen, Feyenoord and PSV Eindhoven are amongst the clubs to have expressed an interest in signing the keeper.
