Man Utd handed chance to sign Memphis Depay

Manchester United have been handed the opportunity to sign Memphis Depay from Barcelona this summer.

The Netherlands international had a poor Premier League experience with United in the past, but he has since developed into a top player.

The Dutchman was a left-winger when he joined the Red Devils, but he is nowadays capable of playing as the main centre-forward.

United have yet to be linked with him this summer, but have been handed a chance to sign him with Barcelona ready to listen to offers.

The 28-year-old could be available for around €25 million, and that can be considered as a bargain, considering his goal contributions.

Tottenham Hotspur want to sign him as a replacement for Steven Bergwijn, but United could yet spoil their plans by making an approach.

Depay would be a cost-effective option for United unlike Antony, who could cost €70 million. He would also not command a hefty salary.

The attacker could also be tempted to reunite with United. He may feel that he has unfinished business after struggling in his first stint.
