Manchester United have set their asking price for defender Eric Bailly amid interest from Roma, The Mirror report.

The Ivory Coast international has been in good form during the pre-season campaign, but there are still doubts over his future.

United recently signed Lisandro Martinez from Ajax, and the centre-back is expected to command a starting role next season.

Aside from Martinez, United also have Harry Maguire, Victor Lindelof and Raphael Varane, who are ahead of Bailly in the pecking order.

According to The Mirror, the Red Devils are willing to part ways with Bailly if they receive a fee close to £10 million this summer.

It is added that Roma are one of the clubs interested in signing him, and their prospects could be boosted by Jose Mourinho's presence.

The Portuguese tactician brought Bailly to Old Trafford six years ago, and the duo continue to share a good relationship off the field.

Roma have already benefitted from United in the past. They signed Chris Smalling few years ago. He is now a leading star for them.
