Chelsea need to pay £80m+ to sign French star
Chelsea need to pay over £80m to sign Leicester City centre-back Wesley Fofana this summer, The Telegraph report.
The Blues are eyeing another central defender in the transfer window, and Fofana has emerged as the top target.
The club have already failed with two bids of £60m and £70m, and they are prepared to make a fresh attempt for him.
According to The Telegraph, the Blues will need to break the £80m barrier in order to convince the Foxes into a sale.
Leicester boss Brendan Rodgers has said that Fofana is not for sale, but the board are unlikely to reject a significant bid.
Meanwhile, Fofana has already made his mind up to join the Blues, but is prepared to wait for the clubs to settle on the fee.
Fofana played the full 90 minutes of the Foxes' season opener today. They played out a 2-2 draw against Brentford at home.
The Foxes went into a two-nil lead, but squandered their advantage.
