Leipzig seal move for Benjamin Sesko
Newcastle and Man Utd target Benjamin Sesko has wrapped up a move to join RB Leipzig. The talented forward, 19, had been playing for Red Bull Salzburg in the Austrian Bundesliga and spent a spell on loan at FC Liefering.
The Slovenian international had caught the eye of both Newcastle and Man Utd scouts, but Red Bull Leipzig have used their contacts and network to ensure the 6 foot 4 forward makes the move to Germany as opposed to the Premier League. Leipzig are also on the verge of a deal for Chelsea forward Timo Werner, as they bolster their attack for the new season.
Already this campaign, Sesko has appeared 4 times for RB Salzburg and scored 2 goals, and last season he bagged 5 goals in2 4 games in the Austrian top flight.
It is understood that Man Utd will now be looking elsewhere to bring in attacking reinforcements, whilst Newcastle United manager Eddie Howe is continuing to push for a new signing before the transfer window slams shut. Newcastle have a reported £80 million to spend on new players before the end of the summer.
