Arsenal boss wants Bayer Leverkusen winger
Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta is keen on signing Bayer Leverkusen winger Moussa Diaby, according to But Football.
The Gunners were keen on landing Raphinha from Leeds United earlier this summer, but he ended up joining Barcelona.
Since the setback, the club have not been looking at any wingers, but But Football claim that Arteta is an admirer of Diaby.
The 23-year-old had a splendid 2021/22 campaign with the Bundesliga outfit, r registering 17 goals and 14 assists from 42 games.
He is similarly left-footed as Raphinha, but is versatile. While Raphinha favours the right wing, Diaby is comfortable on both flanks.
Leverkusen currently value him in the region of £59m, but it is claimed that the Gunners will look to prise him away for a lesser price.
Aside from Diaby, the north London giants have also been linked with highly-rated Villarreal winger Yeremy Pino this month.
The 19-year-old currently has a release clause of €80m on his contract, but could be signed for a fee of around €45m in the coming weeks.
