Inter expect Chelsea bid for Denzel Dumfries
Inter Milan are expecting Chelsea to make a formal approach to sign Denzel Dumfries in the coming days.
The Blues recently committed Cesar Azpilicueta to a new contract, but they are still looking to bolster the right wing-back position.
Dumfries has been their top target for sometime, and according to TuttoSport, Inter are expecting a formal transfer bid from them.
Chelsea have been reluctant to meet the £42 million price tag, but Inter are now willing to accept around £34m with remaining in add-ons.
Dumfries had a solid debut season with Inter last term, bagging three goals and five assists. He also scored the winning goal last weekend.
The Dutchman is a key figure in the Nerazzurri line-up, but Inter are willing to part ways with him as they need to balance their financial books.
They need to recoup around £50m from player sales, and that could be done with the sale of Dumfries and young graduate Cesare Casadei.
