Chelsea confident of landing La Liga striker
Chelsea are confident of landing the signature of former Arsenal captain Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang this summer.
The Gabon star left the Gunners on a free transfer in February this year to join Barcelona on a permanent basis.
He was excellent for them during the backend of last season, but could still leave during the ongoing transfer window.
The 33-year-old was the first-choice striker earlier this year, but Robert Lewandowski has now taken his place.
With the lack of a guaranteed starting spot, the Blues are confident that they can lure him to the English capital again.
Thomas Tuchel has a good relationship with Aubameyang from their Dortmund days and he wants a reunion.
The German is prepared to guarantee Aubameyang with a regular starting role which is not assured at the Camp Nou.
On top of this, Aubameyang will receive a great contract from the Blues. Chelsea believe this should persuade him.
Barcelona currently want around 30 million euros, but the Blues are optimistic of lowering the eventual fee.
