Tottenham representatives have been locked in talks with Italian side Atalanta regarding a transfer window move for Ukrainian international midfielder Ruslan Malinovskyi. The 29-year-old is set to depart the Serie A club after 3 years, with the Atalanta man told that he can leave for 18 million euros.

Malinovskyi came through the ranks at Shakhtar Donetsk in the Ukraine, before transferring to Sevastopol for two loan spells. After an eventual move to Belgium with Genk was completed, Atalanta opted to swoop for the 5 foot 11 midfielder, who has 7 goals for his country in 49 games.

The player kicked off the 2022-23 season in the best possible way, having scored one goal in two games, and Spurs' scouts are rumoured to have been watching the player in action.

Antonio Conte has been a busy man in the transfer window this summer, but has made no secret of his desire to add more players to the squad before the end of the window.

Spurs have started the season well, and have a good squad, but the Italian boss wants more experience to mount an assault on the Champions League as well as the Premier League.
