Man Utd suffer fresh injury blow for Southampton game
Manchester United have suffered a fresh injury blow with Anthony Martial unavailable for the Southampton game tomorrow.
The Frenchman missed the start of the season with a hamstring injury, but made his comeback against Liverpool on Monday.
He bagged a vital assist coming off the bench in the 2-1 win, but has now suffered a fresh Achilles injury, as per Erik ten Hag.
Speaking in today's press conference, Ten Hag confirmed the setback for Martial, but was optimistic over his quick recovery.
The Dutch tactician said that the injury does not appear serious, and Martial could be available for face Leicester City in midweek.
United registered their first points of the season in the stellar win over Liverpool. They will be hoping to continue the momentum.
The club can't take Southampton for granted, however. The Saints have picked up six draws from the last 10 meetings against United.
In Martial's absence, Marcus Rashford could continue to lead the line. Anthony Elanga appears set to play from the left wing again.
