Man Utd readying fourth bid for Brazilian star

Man Utd close to landing Antony

Manchester United are prepared to make a fourth bid to sign Ajax forward Antony, according to The Mirror.

The Red Devils have been determined to sign the former Sao Paulo graduate, but Ajax have refused to negotiate on their price tag.

They have already rejected three bids of €60 million, €80 million and €90 million, and have made it clear that they want €100m for Antony.

According to The Mirror, United are now prepared to meet the asking price for the Brazilian, who is Erik ten Hag's top attacking target.

United have spent a number of weeks trying to lower down the fee, but they have now acknowledged that Ajax won't give any discounts.

Antony has publicly confirmed that he wants to leave Ajax for the Red Devils this summer, and a move could happen in the next few days.

The transfer window formally closes on Thursday, and United may want to secure his services before deadline day to avoid any hiccups.
