Man Utd make Memphis Depay bid

Manchester United have made an opening bid worth €10m to sign Barcelona forward Memphis Depay, according to Gerard Romero.

The Red Devils are keen on strengthening their frontline before the deadline, and have their sights on landing two players.

Ajax's Antony is the prime target for the club, but they are also open to pursuing another attacker for a cut-price fee.

Depay has been identified as that player, and Romero claims that United have now made a formal bid to secure his services.

The 28-year-old was previously with the Red Devils between 2015 and 2017, but did not make any impression for the club.

He netted just two goals from 33 Premier League matches, and may want to redeem himself if he returns to Old Trafford.

Depay is said to be determined to rejoin the Red Devils this summer, and he has apparently turned down a move to Real Sociedad.

A deal could happen right before the transfer deadline. His arrival could coincide with the departure of Cristiano Ronaldo.
