Man Utd agree personal terms with PL star
Manchester United have finalised personal terms with Newcastle United goalkeeper Martin Dubravka, according to Fabrizio Romano.
The Red Devils are determined to land a new shot-stopper before Thursday's transfer deadline, and Dubravka is the top priority.
The Slovakian has now agreed personal terms with the Mancunian giants, but they still need to persuade the Magpies to sell him.
United have proposed a loan deal with an option to purchase for £5 million, but the Tynesiders are holding out for a permanent transfer.
Dubravka has been a quality shot-stopper for Newcastle over recent seasons, but he has lost his place to new signing Nick Pope this term.
At United, David de Gea is currently the first-choice, but Dubravka may fancy displacing him as he has better distribution qualities.
De Gea has been poor with his long-range distribution, and this is a particular aspect where Dubravka has tended to excel for the Magpies.
It remains to be seen whether United can secure his services.
