Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang wants Chelsea transfer

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has his sights on joining Chelsea despite the transfer interest from Manchester United.

The Gabon star left Arsenal for Barcelona in February this year, but could now make a swift return to the Premier League.

He has lost his starting spot to Robert Lewandowski this campaign, and it is unlikely that he will accept a back-up role.

United recently made an approach to Barcelona for him, but Fabrizio Romano claims that Aubameyang prefers to join Chelsea.

He has already agreed personal terms with the west London giants, but they still need to finalise a fee with the Catalan giants.

Chelsea recently offered 15 million euros + Marcos Alonso for his services, but Barcelona want a fixed fee of 20 million euros.

This has proved a stumbling block towards a move, but the Blues could meet the figure before Thursday's transfer deadline.

United, on the other hand, are willing to pay the sum, but Aubameyang is said to be prioritising Champions League football.
