Arsenal make Douglaz Luiz transfer decision
Arsenal won't return for the services of Aston Villa midfielder Douglas Luiz after having three bids turned down this summer.
The Gunners were determined to sign the Brazil international before the transfer deadline, but Villa made it clear that he was not for sale.
After three bids of £20m, £23m and £25m, the north London giants gave up on the player, and TeamTalk claim that a fresh approach is unlikely.
Luiz was desperate to join the Gunners after their interest was made public on deadline day, but the club are now prepared to focus elsewhere.
A move for Palmeiras' Danilo was also touted on transfer deadline day, and reports claim that the 21-year-old could be a more realistic target in January.
He has been on the Gunners' radar for the best part of 12 months, and Palmeiras could be willing to sell when their season concludes.
It is unclear whether the Brazilian outfit would accept the £17m fee that the Gunners were willing to pay for him before the transfer deadline.
