Moises Caicedo opens door for Chelsea transfer

Moises Caicedo news

Caicedo to Chelsea?

Brighton & Hove Albion midfielder Moises Caicedo has opened the door to join Chelsea in future.

The Colombian was handed his Premier League debut by manager Graham Potter in April this year, and he has since been a mainstay for the Seagulls.

His performances have caught the eye of elite Premier League sides including Chelsea, and Caicedo has said that it would be hard to turn down the Blues.

He told Ole: "I think they are one of the best teams in the world and nobody would turn down an offer from Chelsea or any other club like that. It'd be a dream to be in the best teams in the world and succeed there."

Potter became the new Chelsea manager last week following the dismissal of Thomas Tuchel. He is expected to be backed with funds in January.

A new defensive midfielder is one of the priorities for the club, and it won't be a surprise if the Blues push to reunite Caicedo with his former boss.

Caicedo has been likened to N'Golo Kante for his strong tackling and superb work rate. He could be seen as a long-term replacement for the Frenchman.
