Rashford and Sancho fail to make England squad

Manchester United duo Marcus Rashford and Jadon Sancho have been left out of the England squad for the upcoming Nations League games.

The Red Devils made a poor start to the season with back-to-back defeats, but they have since won five of their next six matches.

Rashford and Sancho have played key roles in the run, but it has not been sufficient to make the Three Lions squad picked by Gareth Southgate.

Speaking in today's press conference, Southgate said that Rashford could still make the World Cup squad if he can sustain his current form.

Rashford has missed the last two matches with a muscle injury, but he is likely to be fit when the season restarts after the international break.

Meanwhile, United have three representatives in the England squad this month. Luke Shaw, Harry Maguire and Dean Henderson have been picked.

The selection of Shaw comes as a huge surprise, considering he has not played a single minute since United's 4-0 loss away to Brentford.
