Man Utd set for major injury boost for derby

Rashford fit to face Man City?

Manchester United are set to receive a major injury boost ahead of the Manchester derby on Sunday, The Sun report.

The Red Devils started their Premier League campaign with two defeats, but have since won four games on the bounce.

Marcus Rashford has played a key role in this run with three goals and two assists, and he looks set to lead the line again.

The England star suffered a muscle injury during the 3-1 win over Arsenal on September 4, but seems to have now recovered.

He is due to be involved in the first-team training sessions, and should replace Cristiano Ronaldo as the main striker on Sunday.

Rashford had a poor 2021/22 season with just five goals, but his career has been transformed under new manager Erik ten Hag.

He has found his lost confidence after a tough 12 months, and could yet have an outside chance of making the World Cup squad.

His current deal with the club expires next summer with the option for 12 months. The hierarchy are expected to discuss a renewal.
